Located in the suburbs of Cambridge, in the Fens area of Cambridge, Ely Cathedral dates back almost 1,000 years, when construction first began. Attractions at Ely Cathedral include superb views across the surrounding countryside, the Lady Chapel - the largest chapel in England, an octagonal gallery, the Museum of Stained Glass, a brass rubbing centre and there are also a number of important religious medieval buildings. Guided tours of Ely Cathedral are available.
